Developing a bank's successful credit product for 8 markets

Global research project to align a "split payment" solution on 5 new markets with high technical/legal constraint and cultural difference, ensuring local relevance and regulatory compliance.

About the case study

Assisting a global European bank in developing a successful credit solution, we proposed a three-step approach. Expert reviews covered functional and legal aspects, while individual interviews explored motivations and pain points in existing payment processes. Storyboards depicting common scenarios across markets were then created. Five expert teams collaborated closely, ensuring high-quality deliverables with global reach and cost efficiency.

The challenge

Employing a blend of four methodologies — desktop research, expert review, in-depth interviews, and sketching/storyboarding — we engaged 60 participants across five markets.

Activity

The project was to align a "split payment" solution on 5 new markets with high technical/legal constraint and cultural difference. Five teams of experts worked together with the same tools and mindset to deliver high-quality deliverables, acting like a global group with the flexibility and cost of small entities.

Results

At the end of this project, the project team was given a set of storyboards to represent the most realistic credit scenario for each market.
